ROAD IMPROVEMENTS BID

6th July 2017

Sir Nicholas Soames, Member of Parliament for Mid Sussex, is to make a bid to the Secretary of State for Transport for Mid Sussex to access the multi-million pound fund for local road developments to help improve our woeful local infrastructure under pressure from too many new houses and to help rebalance the local economy.

The Fund is to help tackle bottlenecks and traffic jams and to try to take away the misery of lorries and through-traffic thundering through rural villages with minor roads.

Sir Nicholas said; "I shall be working with our excellent local District Council to put together a bid for some of this money which we badly need if we are to deliver further local growth and above all a badly needed improvement in our very pressurised road infrastructure".
